📖The Longest Holiday-A Book Review📖

Happy Tuesday!!!

I can not believe that it is September already! I feel like we say that every month but this year just seems to be going really quickly to me.  I thought I would start September off with one of the books I finished reading as the summer holiday period came to an end and it is almost time to start thinking about uni again.

The Longest Holiday:

Laura married Matthew and it has been seven months of bliss, so when she discovers a secret from his stag night it is more than she can bear.

Looking for an escape she jumps at the chance to fly off to Florida with her best friend Marty. A holiday filled with endless cocktails and fun is just what she needs to forget her woes. Further distraction comes in the form of sexy Cuban scuba diver Leo. Laura’s instant attraction to him knocks her flying and she falls hard.

As the end of the holiday draws near, Laura does not want to leave. Why go home to heartbreak, when she can see the happiness on the Key West horizon.

This book was actually recommended to me by one of my closest friends and I will be honest I had not up until this point read any of Paige Toon’s work but I can say that after reading this one I will definitely be picking up some more of her works.

I loved that there were some real twists and turns in Laura’s story it was not just a simple romance! I love that it was more a story of finding out exactly what she wanted for herself. With so many twists and turns I found you become very quickly attached to the characters. I also feel I need to see how the renovation of the house turned out because in my mind it turned into an incredible little B&B.

The Longest Holiday is definitely an emotional rollercoaster but it is so worth sticking with it! If you love romance novels that are not boring and hold a little bit of drama this is definitely one for you.

Have you read this book yet? What did you think? If not is it something you think you would enjoy?

Love Always,

Gee xo
