Happy October!
For Blogtober day 18 I thought I would do something a little different and feature a guest post from someone whose blog I love and I thoroughly enjoy reading every one of her posts. Not only is she amazing at her blog she is a genuine sweetheart and I have enjoyed every minute of working with her! I have left all her social media at the end. I hope you enjoy reading her Ghosty Book Recommendations!

Hi everyone,
Today I am going to be recommending some ghosty book recommendations to get you into the Halloween reading mood. Witches have always been my favourite thing to read about at Halloween but I do love a good ghost story every now and then.
Here are some of my favourites:
1. City of ghosts- V. E. Schwab
βCassidy Blakeβs parents are The Inspecters, a (somewhat inept) ghost-hunting team. But Cass herself can REALLY see ghosts. In fact, her best friend, Jacob, just happens to be oneβ.
I really enjoyed this book. I was a little nervous because when I read this I hadnβt previously read much middle grade but I was pleasantly surprised. I should of known I would love it, itβs Schwab. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a fun book that can be read in a few hours.

2. The archived- V. E. Schwab
βImagine a place where the dead rest on shelves like booksβ.
This book had such a unique premise. I love the idea of having lives stored in pictures and stories once we die. I really liked the something is quite right eerie sort of vibe and the sassiness (I donβt think thatβs a word) of the main character. Libraries, dead people, creepy dark vibes, ermmmβ¦ yes please.

3. The name of the star- Maureen Johnson
βJack the Ripper is back, and heβs coming for Rory nextβ¦.β
I love murder mysteries and there is nothing like a murder mystery with ghosts, am I right? I also love books with a boarding school setting which this book has. Itβs just such a fun, hilarious and mysterious read perfect for halloween.

4. Anna dressed in blood- kendare blake
βCas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the deadβ.
This is basically a ghost hunter sort of story and I love it. The romance was so good and I enjoyed reading from a male perspective, it was different but refreshing and still so good. Kendare blake wrote this book beautifully and I highly recommend picking this one up.
