Welcome to Blogmas day 5! For today’s post, I thought I would discuss my makeup must-haves for this time of year. Around this time of year, I tend to do the same kind of makeup just with a few small changes. During this time of year, I love doing a sparkly gold eye look with bronzed skin and then normally a red lip but I tend to switch between a red lip and a dark red/purple lip. I just feel that around Christmas and winter I love to wear a darker more bold lip colour. Here are some of my favourite products to use this time of the year:
1.Rimmel Lipstick in 107 (I’m not sure they sell this anymore.)
This was a product I fell in love with after it was recommended by Zoella a few years back and is honestly my lipstick colour of choice for every Christmas since! Unfortunately, I don’t think they sell in stores anymore but I know you can find it online on Amazon. In my opinion, it’s just the perfect Christmassy red.
2. Revlon Colour stay in Black Cherry
Again, this is the best thing ever for a Christmassy/winter lipstick. It is a warm-toned red-purple. More a deep purple though. I just love how this looks with my go-to makeup look for this time of the year. I just think it makes it look a little more put together!
3. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 0+1
This is something I rave about all year round and is a favourite of many of my friends. For a reasonably priced concealer that lasts for hours and very rarely creases I will rave about it forever! I love that they have recently extended the number of shades they have as I am really pale and like being able to have to shades difference. Especially to brighten under my eyes.
4.Revolution- Conceal and contour pallete in fair
This is one that I feel I have to rave about as it is a contour and concealing pallete which has a highlighter in the palette. This highlighter is honestly one that I have been using daily and the wide range of contour/bronzer colours in the pallete means that you can really achieve any look. I tend to go to the more grey-toned bronzer for creating a shadow.
5.Revolution Eye shadow pallete- Reloaded
This is one that I was gifted last year for Christmas by one of my best friends after I had fallen in love with a similar pallete shown by someone on Instagram. I love the colours in this pallete for this time of year as it has warm browns and golds but also matte reds and glitter red! This just screams Christmas to me!
