Welcome to Blogmas day 7!!! That’s right day 7 it very much has already been a week of Blogmas! I thought today’s post should be about something that I love and I think makes the Christmas season a little more warm and cosy! Well, at least this is exactly what this book did for me! and also gave me the urge to dye my hair… (yes… it’s happened again!)
No One Cancels Christmas is written by Zara Stoneley, a woman after my own heart who wanted to be a spy or an author when she grew up and here she is writing some incredible books and one of the best Christmas books I have read for a long time!
Sarah the main character in this is very much a girl after my own heart! A friend of mine read this book before me and mentioned that Sarah very much reminded her of me because of her sass and the way she deals with problems. After reading this book myself I feel in love with her character and decided that the lessons she learns throughout this book may come in handy in my own life.
In this middle of dealing with a problem, she dyes her hair blue (this is 100% something I would do.) and buys a plane ticket to Canada to deal with the problem face on! Now although I cannot buy a plane ticket I can certainly dye my hair… SO I DID!! I am no longer a blonde and have gone for a warm brown for the winter! One of the more subtle colours I have been over the years but I love it.
The book is set during the most magical time of the year has so much warmth running through it! Although maybe not everything is going right for her she has such strength and power that you almost know it’s going to be okay.
Twists and turns are very much the main features of this novel but this is exactly why it is almost impossible to put down!
‘It’s the most magical time of the year, and for travel agent Sarah it’s also the busiest! But this year one man threatens to ruin Christmas for Sarah and her customers- Mr Grinch, Will Armstrong.
The Shooting Star Mountain Resort is a magical place, and Sarah has fond memories of Christmas there as a little girl. But as the resort’s new owner, Will refuses to play snowball or to deck the halls with anything remotely jolly!
With customers complaining their Christmas is ruined, Sarah decides it’s up to her to convince gorgeous but Scroogey Will just how magical Christmas can be…‘
Will is a quirky character who at first I am not gonna lie is infuriating but you cannot help by the end to have fallen head over heels for him and his story. His brother, on the other hand, is quite a character charming yet not but again, in the end, settles down when he finds the love of his life.
Sarah just like myself could not resist Will’s charm and it makes for the most endearing novel. If you want to read a Christmas novel that will not only leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling but a new sense of determination to sort your life out. This will do this! A book that not only I have loved but is one that one of my best friends and I cannot stop raving about.
Have you read this book? What did you think? If not is it something you would read?
