Favourite Halloween Books- Blogtober Day 3

Happy October!

I hope you are all having a wonderful October! I know things are a little different this spooky season! However, this does me that we have had more time for reading and new hobbies! Just like last years blogtober I thought I would share with you some of my favourite books to read within the spooky season! I will admit that they are very similar to last years list however I have included some books that I have been reading in September/October.

  1. Dracula

Dracula is an all time favourite and it is one of the best books for around Halloween! Dracula just adds to my obsession with Vampires but I am so excited now that I know that parts of this book were inspired by a book I mention a little later on. However Dracula is a classic!

2. Frankenstein

Again it is no surprise but it is one that deserves all the credit! This is a family favourite that had to be mentioned but again I am so excited now that I know that parts of this book were inspired by a book I mention a little later on. Frankenstein is the a great story of how a little kindness can have the biggest impact.

3. Midnight Sun

This is a new one, I have put off reading this since it was released because I was nervous that it would not match up to my expectations due to my love of the first books. However, I have to clarify that I have been listening to it as an audible book as I could not get my hands on a physical copy. And I am in love with this book. I have turned into my fourteen year old self again, my love for Mr Edward Cullen has just been reintroduced. I love hearing Twilight from his prospective. I have included it in my favourite halloween books as I started listening to it in September and hey its about Vampires and Werewolves. So I have decided that it fully counts.

4. The Castle Of Otranto

Okay this is a new favourite and is the oldest of the books on this list. However I have never loved a book more. Horace Walpole is responsible for writing this master piece of a first ever gothic novel. He wrote this novel after a dream he had after he spent the evening reading in the library of Strawberry Hill House.

5. The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

Another Classic which is a favourite of mine.

What are your favourite halloween books?

Love Always,

Gee xoxo
