Welcome to Blogmas day 11, I thought this year I would include some of the posts I had been to unsure of posting last year. One of the ideas I loved the most from looking at other peoples Blogmas post ideas was writing a letter to Santa. It seems silly really but it was something we used to do when we were children and then one day we stopped. However as someone who has five nephews all be it two that may tell everyone they are far too old for a letter to Santa, it is an activity I would love to be able to do with them one day. I truly believe there is nothing quite as heartwarming as the magic of Christmas. This being said I have decided for Blogmas day 11 I will be doing the letter to Santa post. 2020 could use a little Christmas magic.
Well what a year 2020 has been, I hope you and all your elves and of course your reindeer have managed to keep save and sound this year. I am more excited than ever for Christmas this year, I think it is going to be a whole new kind of special. I am looking forward to being able to celebrate with some of the people I love the most. Sadly not all of them but next year they will not be getting away without massive hugs and cuddles.
2020 has taught me many things but I think the biggest lesson for me is to never take the time with have with the important people in our lives for granted, and you will never know when some of the world’s nicest people will come in to your life. Sometimes this happens of the back of doing or apply for something on the off chance it may happen. Either way I have a lot to be grateful for this year. Even when seeing all my friends and family is not an option.
This year I graduated from my undergraduate degree, moved to my favourite place on earth and became a masters degree student all whilst in the middle of a pandemic! It is crazy to think how much my life has changed over the last few months but it is crazier to see how much I have changed and how proud this actually makes me. However as proud as I am of myself for doing this things I am just as proud if not more of my friends and family for all the wonderful things they have been getting up to the last few months. I cannot explain how much I miss them but also how special the moment we get to reunite will be… I guess that is my wish this year to keep them all safe and well so that as soon as I can, I can smother them in so much unconditional love.
One of the best things in my life is that I get to be an auntie to the most beautiful boys in the world! (TO FIVE OF THEM YES FIVE) and I cannot wait to find out what they have asked Santa for this year. I hope they all made it to the nice list which I have no doubt that they will have.
This year I do not think there is anything I would really like for Christmas apart from this wish above… but no one can really have enough books so maybe some more books to read.
When was the last time you wrote to Santa? If you were to write a letter to Santa, what would you ask him to bring you?
