A little magic and sparkle

Happy February!

With Valentines Day just around the corner I thought I would stick with the theme of Love and share with you some of my favourite book quotes that talk about love. I am sure some of these will be expected but maybe I have added someones you would not think about. If you know me you will know I am a sucker for a good romance novel whether this be modern or classic. I think love is one of those beautiful things that will always continue to be interpreted in many different ways. Authors are always brilliant at expressing how we feel in such beautiful wordings it was only right to share with you some of my favourites.

Here are some of my favourite book quotes about love:

As a book lover and someone who could spend hours tucked up in bed with a good book, I think this quote for Hemingway is just stunning. It is such a simple activity and sentence but you can almost imagine being lost in this situation. There is something truly beautiful about a book under the stars.

Les Miserables is one of my favourite books, movies and musicals so it is only right that this is included in my list somewhere. I think there is something so moving yet simplistic about the idea of being loved or having loved being enough. It is plain and simple yet so thought provoking that it really makes you stop and think about the simplest joys in life.

Now it would not be a post from me if I did not include Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as one of the quotes. The White Company although not one of my go to books from him has some of the most beautiful quotes in it. This one however stands out as one of my favourites.

Always. How powerful is that one word. I know that all fellow potterheads will agree that Always makes my heart hurt. But it is one of my favourite quotes from the books and the film. It turns out our favourite fellow Slytherin Professor Snape is not a bad human, he just has a broken heart. He is suffering from a case of unrequited love. Unfortunately the person who has his affection fell in love with someone else and then tragically died. When asked “even after all this time?” his simple reply of always is enough to melt the toughest of hearts. It had to be included and forever will be one of my favourite quotes of all time.

I am sure at one point or another, we have all had one person that no matter what you do or what they did, you would always be thinking of them. In fact I am positive that this does not just happen with one person. But I know reading this I had one person that came to mind. However I think it is such a true quote that we can all relate to one way or another.

It is funny that the stories that are best known as stories for children have the most amazing and touching quotes in them. I think Winnie the Pooh is a great example of this, there are so many quotes from Winnie the Pooh that I would not have fully understood as a child but still happen to be some of the most moving quotes now that I understand them. I think this quote is one of my favourites about love because it covers all manners of love not just romantic.

And finally the one I am sure you knew I would be including. For two different reasons, firstly because Wuthering Heights is one of my all time favourite novels and I could read it over and over again. Secondly it is a quote featured in After by Anna Todd and I remember reading this story when it was first released in chapters on Wattpad as a fan fiction. I think that this quote provides a lot of different emotions depending on which you recognise it from, but either way is one of the most beautiful quotes ever. I love the idea that their souls are made the same and therefore has brought them together.

Those are just some of my favourite quotes we could be here forever! I have so many more that I love but these are just some of my favourites.

What are some of your favourite quotes about love?

Love Always,

Gee xoxo
